Licensed Insolvency Trustee Harvey Lipman joined the Spergel team in May 2011. Harvey’s extensive insolvency and restructuring experience began nearly 40 years ago in 1982. During his many years of experience, Harvey has acted on behalf of major banks, lenders, secured lenders and debtors and corporate owners. He has assisted many clients of accountants and lawyers with their financial needs. Harvey has assumed the role of Court Appointed Interim Receiver, Licensed Insolvency Trustee, and privately appointed Receiver and Manager for countless businesses and creditors alike. Harvey’s expertise spans many manufacturing industries including automotive, lumber, food processing, distribution, construction, restaurant and hospitality, marine manufacturing and retail, franchising, transportation, retail, and information technology. Harvey served on the Board of Directors of the Central Ontario Chapter of the Kidney Foundation of Canada. He has been chairman of the charity’s annual bowling fundraising event. Harvey has also served on the Board of The Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation of Canada and for 17 years, on the board for Camp Arrowhead, a children’s non-profit day camp.
