On February 1, 2024, Igloo Industries Group Ltd. (the "Company" or "Igloo") filed a Notice of Intention to Make A Proposal and Albert Gelman Inc. was named as the Proposal Trustee.

On a motion by Royal Bank of Canada ("RBC"), msi Spergel inc. ("Spergel") was appointed as the Receiver (in such capacity, the "Receiver") of the Company pursuant to an order of The Honourable Justice Wilton-Siegel of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) (the "Court") made on May 22, 2024 (the "Appointment Order").

The Company operated a commercial food equipment sale and distribution business. The Company imports, stores, sells and delivers small and large hardware for grocery and restaurant businesses throughout Canada, including, for example, refrigerated food retail equipment and commercial-grade equipment for food preparation and dishwashing.
